Risk and compliance, wired in
This list is short on purpose. Every line names a control that is running today and where it runs, so it can be checked rather than taken on trust.
Jurisdiction blocking that cannot be switched off in production
Geofencing runs on the API gateway and is on by default. The production branch of the gateway's own configuration schema refuses a setting that disables it, so the service fails to start rather than starting unguarded.

Identity tiers enforced ahead of the handler
Access to a regulated action is gated on a verified identity tier by middleware that runs before the route does, not by hiding a control in the interface where a direct request would sail past it.

Compliance runs as its own service
The compliance service is deployed beside the gateway rather than compiled into it, so it is released, restarted and observed on its own schedule and an incident in one is not automatically an incident in the other.

Sessions and state changes are integrity-checked
Session tokens live in cookies that page scripts cannot read, and every state-changing request carries a second token that must match the cookie. Both checks default on in the gateway's configuration.

Every control above runs on the server — in the API gateway or in a service behind it. Controls we have not built are not listed, and we name no certification we do not hold.
Simulation, then live
You start in simulation: orders are matched by Cryptonyk's simulation engine, not routed to a live venue or counterparty. Fills, fees and the resulting balances are modelled, so they may differ from real-market outcomes.
Live trading with real funds is not offered yet.
